My name is Dedun Olobayo, I am the founder and CEO of Style Me Africa, a site that celebrates fashion and beauty inspired by Africa. I am also the co-founder of The Style Concierge, a lifestyle brand management company that caters to various brands in Nigeria. What are your favourite Beauty/makeup items and why?
Is there such a thing as one favourite beauty item? I’m obsessed with a lot of items at the moment for way too many reasons. Quick list from the top of my head – Kevyn Aucoine skin enhancer (honestly the best full coverage concealer on this planet), Carli Bybel for BH Cosmetics eyeshadow and highlighter palette, Lancome 24 Hr Teint idole foundation, Colour pop cosmetics liquid lipsticks in the shade ‘Guess’, ‘Rooch’, and ‘LAX’
Favourite Hair/Beauty spot in Nigeria or outside of Nigeria?
Barazahi spa in Lekki phase 1, honestly my favourite place in the world.
What are your favourite Skincare products and why?
My absolute favourite is my African black soap with Turmeric. I am also obsessed with Dermalogica’s thermal exfoliant. Wait, scratch that, my absolute favourite skin care product is Clean and Clear’s morning burst cleanser. I have been using it for years and its the best!
Biggest Beauty splurge?
Every time I buy make up I splurge (covers eyes). I am always buying way too much (shout out to www.glambeautyjay.com for fulfilling all my beauty needs).
Worst Beauty/Hair mistake?
Over plucking my eyebrows when I was a teenager. I mean, what the ?
What are your favourite Hair product items and why?
I am OBSESSED with Melly’s Virgin hair. Honestly the best luxury virgin hair extension brand on the planet. Their hair is tangle and shed free and its truly worth every penny. As for products, I am currently obsessed with Shea Moisture’s Coconut and Hibiscus frizz free curl mousse. Its the best thing for my curly fro!
Best Beauty Advice?
It is always a great idea to invest in looking good. It’s okay to take care of yourself. Buy that lipstick, get your hair done, go to the spa, spend time and money on yourself! There’s really nothing wrong with it. You only live once so make the most of it!

God helps me, I eat everything but I hardly put on weight.
